The Economist’s Survey about France December 2, 2006Posted by The Writers in Media.
Recently, The Economist published a survey about France. While there is much to say about their survey, good and bad, it is always fascinating to see the response from the readers. In the latest issue (November 25th) one reader points to the absence of independent French media. Rather than the economic realities behind newspapers and television channels ownership, which that reader quotes, the more pressing issue is what gets published. The problem at this point is not ownership, although it is not irrelevant.
